"Peace Offerings"

At the suggestion of her admirers and colleagues, the Art Department is featuring and Art Show in our Gallery to Ulrica Bell-Perkins, a Cerro Coso faculty member, as a celebration of her retirement planned for this Spring.

Although many of her works are currently being shown at other venues, Ricky, as she is known to friends and students, found a group of appropriate works to create a showing entitled, "Peace Offerings". This show will remain up until April 17th.

Ricky has also agreed to present an artist's slide lecture about her artwork on Friday April 11 at 6:00 pm in the Lecture Center.

Although Ricky has served as an English instructor these many years at South Kern she has always had a love for art, took all the required classes, and has created a large and impressive body of artworks over her career.
