The Automotive Technology major (28.50 units) is designed for those students who have completed a year of high school automotive course work or its equivalent and who need advanced training and experience prior to entering the automotive workforce.

Complete all of the following courses:

AUTO C121 Brakes 3
AUTO C125 Automotive Suspension and Steering 2
AUTO C131 Air Conditioning and Heating Systems 2
AUTO C135 Automatic Transmissions/Transaxles 2
AUTO C141 Manual Drive Train and Axles 2
AUTO C145 Engine Repair 2
CSCI C070 Computer Literacy 1

Select at least 6 units from the following:

BSAD C141 Human Relations in Business 3
BSAD C145 Business Communication 3
BSGN C101 Introduction to Business 3
CSCI C123 Beginning MS Excel 1
CSCI C125 Beginning MS Access 1

Complete general education requirements and electives as needed.

Any student completing the courses required for the major qualifies for a certificate in Automotive Technology.
