Larry has been a resident in Ridgecrest for over 13 years and recently earned and Associate's degree in Secondary Education from Cerro Coso College. Larry has spent 14 years in NHRA professional drag racing. He has worked for 'stars of the sport' such as, Tom "the Mongoose" McEwen, Shirley Muldowney, Raymond Beadles "Blue Max" and Gene "the Snowman" Snow. Larry also:

• is ASE certified as a master automobile technician
• is working on a Bachelor's degree in technology education
• is MACS (Mobile Air Conditioning Society) certificated in CFC-12 refrigerant recycling and service procedures
• has completed training at the AMMCO Training Center for brake servicing, wheel alignment, steering systems, and wheel balancing

Larry also loves adventure, and it's not unusual for him to put in 4,000+ miles a summer on his 2003 100th Anniversary Harley Davidson.

Larry is currently working on the JohnHaleyRacing.com NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster team. After a crash in Gainesville,Florida earlier this year the team is gaining momentum and promises to finish in the "TOP TEN" in the points championship of the 2003 series.

Larry has also been partners with "long time friend," Dennis Savage, former IHRA Funny Car World Champion in the Outlaw Street Cars Wars where they have won numerous races through out the last 5 years.
