DESCRIPTION:
An introduction to the use of the PHP platform to develop dynamic web
applications. Covers the origins, syntax and structure of PHP, as well as
the PHP-specific commands and objects and their use in PHP development.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be
able to:
- Discuss the history and development of the PHP platform.
- Analyze, design and configure PHP on a Web Server.
- Create basic PHP scripts using proper syntax.
- Discuss variable use and data types in PHP.
- Design complex PHP scripts using functions, control structures
and arrays.
- Design complex PHP scripts to capture and process form input.
- Plan and configure a mySQL database.
- Plan and design PHP scripts to read from and write to a mySQL
database.
