The
Microsoft Office Specialist certification is the globally
recognized standard for validating expertise with the Microsoft Office suite
of business productivity programs. The program provides computer
program literacy, measures proficiency, and identifies opportunities for
skills enhancement. Earning certification acknowledges you have the
expertise to work with Microsoft Office programs.
Microsoft Office Specialist certified individuals report increased
competence and productivity with Microsoft Office programs as well as
increased credibility with their employers, co-workers, and clients. Certification sets you apart in today’s competitive job market, bringing
employment opportunities, greater earning potential and career advancement,
in addition to increased job satisfaction.

Certification Testing Levels
The
Microsoft Office Specialist program offers two levels of certification: Core and Expert.
Individuals can also pass additional exams to achieve Master
certification.
Core
Certification:
This level indicates that you have a comprehensive understanding of
the core features in specific MS Office applications. Students will be
awarded one certificate for each of the Core exams passed.
Expert Certification:
This level indicates that you have a comprehensive understanding of
the advanced features in specific MS Office applications and you have
passed one Expert exam. Students will be awarded one certificate for
each of the Core exams passed.
Master Specialist Certification:
This level indicates that you have a comprehensive understanding of
Microsoft Office. This certification will be awarded to any student who
passes all five of the required exams.
