CATALOG COURSE DESCRIPTION

Basic Spelling, including the use of the apostrophe.

REQUISITES

Prerequisites: Level 2 Writing recommended

COURSE OBJECTIVES

1. A student will learn the rules governing spelling of words with affixes such as pre- and -ing.
2. A student will learn to use the hyphen and the apostrophe.
3. A student will learn to spell words that are commonly misspelled by college students such as prejudice and existence.
4. A student will improve proofreading skills.
