The Academy Awards Animation Festival

min posterThe 2nd Annual Animation Festival is hosted by Cerro Coso College's Academy of Media Arts. This years festival will feature awards for 'Best Student Animation,' 'Best Industry Partner,' and 'Best Academy Advocate.' The Animation Film Festival features animations produced by Cerro Coso Digital and Flash animation students, Victor Valley College and Murray Middle School animation students, and will also feature Flash work produced for the intradisciplinary Dante's Inferno project.

Support the innovative programs at your local and regional schools by attending this exciting event. Films will be shown of student animations and student portfolios, demo reels, and other animations will be available for viewing. Students from the Academy of Digital Animation will also be giving live demonstrations of leading high-end 3D animation software such as SoftImage XSI. Admission to the event is free, tickets are not required. Refreshments will be provided.
