Intro The “Road Warrior” is a
multi-platform action-adventure game based in a post-apocalyptic setting where
Earth’s dwindling resources will prompt mankind into a war that will destroy
all he has built, and only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to
pillage will survive.
Background Over 20 years ago, moviegoers were introduced to the world of Mad Max. It is a post-apocalyptic world of despair and violence that speaks to our basic fears and impulses, pitting morality against survival, crushing the souls of ordinary men. For more information see: Research Page. Description
As a new scavenger to the futuristic wasteland, you have to learn to survive. The world based on the Road Warrior, TM (Warner Bros.) series
is an abundant world full of items you can scavenge, buy, sell, trade, use, or
transform. You can access this
world in either a single/multi-player console platform, or you may co-inhabit its
levels with thousands of other people simultaneously in an online, networked,
multiplayer platform. In the multiplayer networked platform you enter a
persistent world, which exists independent of your presence, but is permanently
shaped by your actions. Existing
communities are a last-ditch attempt to maintain a semblance of civilization in
a world gone mad.
You take the role of one of the many playable characters from Road
Warriors to Nomads, and advance your skills needed for survival.
For
example: scavenging for fuel or weapons, mechanical engineering,
foraging for food and water, etc. While
traveling through the desolate country you meet up with other players and
non-player characters, that may perceive you as a friend or a foe, in a world
that is constantly growing. You can
choose your level of participation in the events, which occur in the world
around you. In example, the inhabitants of one place are under siege by a gang
of crazed nomads and punk rockers, with a crossbow by your side (or any of the
available weapons of choice) you may enter the combat and either choose to fight
against or along side the Nomads. You
will be able to drive a varied collection of vehicles from motorbikes to armored
big wheel trucks, dune buggies, and helicopters.
In this strange quasi-apocalyptic setting, defined by the absence of law,
the scarcity of gasoline, and the physical bareness of land, you create your own
path or die at the hands of other Nomads. The
fact that you exist with other real people from around the globe adds a level of
immersion that must be experienced to be believed. Key
