Work Based Learning: DMA Project

Retirement Video

The Digital Media Arts team was asked to produce a 15 minute video as a retirement gift for Cerro Coso retiree, Susan Smith. The video was to be a compilation of photographs combined with a medley of meaningful music. The music chosen by the requestor, Jill Board, was, "A Whole New World", "We Are The World", and "Circle of Friends". The music chosen was music that characterized the retiree to hopefully make the video more meaningful to its recipient. 

Since the music determined the length of the piece some editing of the audio tracks were required to keep the video as short as possible, while providing adequate viewing time of each image. The video used simple fades as transitions between images and fades in the music to go from one audio track to another. Software used was Adobe Premiere 5.0 and Adobe Photoshop 6.0.
