Welding TechnologyWELDING TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE (60 units total, 20 units in the major) trains students in multiple welding processes and is designed to prepare them for an entry level welding position in diverse fields. Safe and clean work habits are practiced and personal protective equipment is required. Areas in which welders work include: mining, manufacturing, marine welding , ship building, metal art sculpting, machine shops, construction, railroads, automotive, as well as the aircraft, aerospace and renewable energy industries. Job prospects of graduates from this program are excellent.
Complete general education requirements and electives for a minimum of 60 total units. WELDING TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATE (12 units): This certificate provides a focus on the major welding and cutting processes for building or upgrading skills and is also a foundation for the two-year degree.
